Ten top tips to make mapping easier

  1. Look at all the figures in your catchment - the most obvious ones might not be the most relevant
  2. Remember you can sort on column heading to bring the most relevant data to the fore
  3. If your lists are too long, check the 'Filter by selected User List' to show only the most relevant catchments
  4. Don't use too many catchments - eight is a suitable amount to produce a clear map
  5. Don't use too many sector labels and boundaries as this can clutter up your map
  6. Quickly find the catchments you want to map by using the search function
  7. Got a repetitive task? We can write a macro to perform the task automatically for you
  8. When saving your map, ask yourself whether you really need to edit it in PowerPoint. A static image file is quicker and easier to use
