Saving map:vml

The 'Save As' option under the map:vml tab allows you to save the map into PowerPoint or as a variety of image files: .emf, .gif, ,jpg, .wmf and .png.

Saving as PowerPoint will open the map in a pop up window. Right click on the image, select 'Copy Slide' and paste it into your PowerPoint presentation. Dependant on the version of PowerPoint used this may need resizing and centring. This is covered in more depth here.

Choosing ‘Save as’ and selecting an image format EMF, GIF, JPG, WMF or PNG will open the map in a new window. To save the image on your machine, simply right click and choose 'Save Picture As' and save the file in a location of your choice.

In both tabs, you will see a 'Link to this map' option. Click on this to generate a URL. The URL is emailable to colleagues and clients quickly so that they are able to see the map you have created, eliminating the need to send files.
