How do I allow PowerPoint maps through my Pop-up blocker?

JICREG mapping makes extensive use of new windows, so that you can easily go back through steps, or make small modifications to your setting or selection and try again. Unfortunately the opening of new windows in web browsers has become synonymous with Pop-up adverts, and it can be difficult for your browser to tell the difference between legitimate new windows and unwanted advertisements.

The time when you are most likely to come across this problem is when your are saving maps for use in PowerPoint 2003, when you might see a screen like this one:

We reccomend that you allow Pop-ups from the mapping engine as this will prevent Internet Explorer from blocking your presentation/map from downloading. If you have to allow the presentation download through the Pop-up blocker later, there is a chance that Internet Explorer will reload the page, causing you to have to make a selection for mapping again. So it is worth setting your browser to always allow Pop-ups from www.mapvision.co.uk.

You can do this clicking on the yellow info bar that appears at the top of the page when a Pop-up is blocked, and choosing to “Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site…”
